spiritually refreshed

My brother and his girlfriend stopped by Monday morning to pick up his laptop that he graciously let me borrow for my weekend away at the conference. I opened the front door and invited them in to sit down and attempt to chat with a half-awake, greasy haired, crusty-faced Moriah. They immediately laughed at my condition and asked how my weekend went.

"I'm physically drained. But, spiritually refreshed."

They got it. They could read it all over my face. Behind my day-old makeup and baggy, puffy eyes. They could see that my soul was replenished behind all of the mess.

I met Jesus on a much deeper level this weekend. In a room full of bloggers. We formed a tribe that was built on our faith and that will continue to grow and spread through our online community. We learned how to use our voice to spread the Gospel. We were encouraged to keep our focus on Christ over everything He's called us to do with our voice, not just through our blog, but in our community, our church, our family, and our marriage.

I learned a lot about the business and strategy side of blogging this weekend. But, I think I took home a lot more grace-filled life lessons that God wanted me to hear. He's called me to this online space for a reason. This was my weekend to seek and find what it is that He wants me to do with this blog. I'm still learning, but I feel like I've gotten closer to figuring it out, at least for this season. For now, I'm just going to continue digesting everything I learned and experienced at the conference, remember the friendships and new connections made with women I never knew before, and cherish the memories that were made with over 200 women trying to figure out the same thing as me.

I loved being a servant this weekend. After months of planning this conference with Jessi, Hayley, and Casey, it was so amazing to see God's plan come to fruition. From the handmade market, to the praise and worship time, to the check-in table introductions, to the pizza dinner shared amongst new friends, God was there. In all of it. In all of the faces I met this weekend.

I plan to share more about what I learned at the conference when the time is right. I honestly don't have the words, yet. More coffee, more naps, and more prayer time will help, for sure. So, for now, enjoy some pictures that I stole from fellow friends:

  1. Thank you for your beautiful words Moriah. It was so amazing that even when I went to a strategy session a lot of the time I would still come out with lessons to apply to my own life. And grace was something I felt like was repeated through out the conference.

I'm so glad I meet all you wonderful ladie!
