I have to admit, though, that I did kind of miss Chia after a while. 3 hours is a long time to be away from her on an average day at home. When she awoke from her slumber, I had to catch her cuteness on video. It's nothing special, just a little snippet of what our conversations are usually like together. Lots of pointing, lots of "this," "that," and "uh oh." I'll be saving this video for when Lucia is a rebellious teen and I'll need to be reminded of how sweet she used to be.

For When She's a Rebellious Teen
Lucia dropped her morning nap yesterday. We put her down in the afternoon at the same time I put her older brother down for his nap. That means Mommy got 3 hours of alone time ALL TO HERSELF. 3 HOURS. I'm not sure I've had 3 hours to myself since I've had children. Do you know what I did? I took a shower before noon, I blow dried my hair, I ate lunch in silence, I took a 30 minute nap, and I had time to start reading a new book.

ReplyDeleteI remember when my Ezzy (he's a year younger than my daughter) dropped his morning nap and started napping on the same schedule as Eliana - it was glorious and I didn't know what to do with myself at first!!! So awesome! Chia is adorable!

ReplyDeleteYou are both ADORABLE! Ummm but I'm so jealous of the 3 hours!! I put my two kiddos down together in the afternoon and I usually only get an hour and a half out of them :) More playtime though, so I shouldn't complain!
