Lucia's First Birthday Party
We celebrated Chia's first birthday party a couple weeks ago with our parents and siblings. It was a very intimate, very casual party, but I still felt like I needed to bust my butt and make it perfect for my princess. Lesson learned: Lucia will never remember her first birthday and all of the special details I put into it. Therefore, don't stress out about first birthdays anymore. You'd think I would have already learned this from Josiah's party, right? After celebrating all of our birthdays in the last three months (Mine: March 22, Joe's: April 4, Josiah's: April 21, Chia's: May 30), I'm pretty sure we're going to lump them all together next year into one party. We're partied out.
Any-who, this was our last shibang I had to host for the summer, so it was fun getting together and celebrating my girl's first year of life with our immediate family. We made some really special memories and enjoyed watching the kids interact with all of their grandparents in the same room. We loved spoiling our Birthday Girl with kisses, new toys, and her very first cupcake. And although she may never remember her special day, it will be a day we will treasure forever.
That, and watching her brother play with her new baby dolls was pretty precious, too.

So cute! It's a sweet reminder of when my two older kids were the ages of your two. We were looking at their scrapbooks this weekend and my daughter was in awe. "Tyler must have really loved me!" now they are At that obnoxious bickering stage. ;)

The stuffed animal...we have him. His name is Charlie at our house. HE GOES EVERYWHERE! Charlie is the LOVE of Easton's life. Sometimes my husband and I joke, 'don't you wish he loved you as much as he loves Charlie?' I hope she loves it like he does! a keepsake for sure!
